Cartridge Filters have a corrosion-resistant, injection-molded, fiberglass-reinforced, polypropylene filter tank featuring superior strength and reliability. The cartridge assembly uses four, nonwoven, polyester cartridges. There is no need for backwashing. Simply remove the cartridges and rinse with a garden hose, reducing water consumption. These filters provide the most energy-efficient flow and save up to 2,500 gallons of water per year by eliminating the need to backwash.

Adding handles to the top part or lid would improve ease of removal. When compared to prices of similar items, this affordable option works effectively and is easy for me to install.

Easy Installation

I swapped out my old diatomite tower, which was releasing diatomite into the pool, with this one. Since you don't backwash this type of filter, the multi-position valve was also replaced. The pool, which had been cloudy, cleared up within a day. I strongly recommend this filter tower. I rated "easy to clean" as a 3 because you can rinse off the filters and get back to operation quickly. However, at some point, a thorough cleaning of the filters is necessary, which is a procedure. While not challenging, it can be time-consuming.
