Working very good!

My Intex above-ground pool measures 9 feet long by 18 feet wide and initially came with a 1/4 HP pump, which effectively circulated the water but struggled to power a vacuum. To address this, I purchased this 3/4 HP pump at a reasonable price. The pump is impressively quiet and provides the necessary power to operate my Lil Shark Vacuum.

However, I gave it a rating of 4 because the included manuals are not helpful. They lack instructions on assembly and, more importantly, fail to specify the recommended amount of sand to use. To overcome this, I had to search online for a video guide on a similar pump. While some vendors suggested using 42 pounds of sand, the pump's capacity is actually 132 lbs. A review mentioned issues when using the full 132 lbs, causing malfunctions as sand entered the pool or the pump itself. As a precaution, I opted to use only 100 lbs of sand.

It might be too early to provide a comprehensive evaluation, but so far, the pump has exceeded my expectations and is working flawlessly.
