To be frank, the handles are relatively slim, comprising cast plastic around a solid metal shaft with a hex head protruding from the top for additional torque if needed. I used fine grit sandpaper to smooth out the excess plastic on the handles after they were removed from the mold. The handles have a four-sided design. The finish on the shaft is decent, not as polished as a Klien but comparable to Dewalt. I purchased these as a demolition set of drivers since they have a steel head that can withstand hammer strikes. I successfully chiseled away years of paint from cabinet and door hinge screws to replace them with new ones. So far, I've used them for an entire set of kitchen cabinets and five doors. Some door hinges were stuck, and I used the large flat head to pry them out without any bending to the shafts. If you're looking for an excellent set of screwdrivers, go for Klien, but if you want tools that can endure being used for scraping and prying, include these in your toolbox.
