Broke up fence post concrete quickly

Large pieces of fence post concrete too heavy for me to move easily broke up without any problems. Doesn't seem like this will last forever, but a tool that works at a fair price.

Hard-packed, dry clay soil was no match for this

I am putting in some flatwork in the back yard, and after struggling with a sharp shooter shovel and a pick axe, I looked for an easier way without having to rent an excavator. This was the answer. It easily drives into the hard clay we have and breaks through rocks it comes up against. Once it's all loose, I can just use a spade to shovel away the loose stuff. This is a great addition to the shed.My only complaint is that it uses more oil than an 80s domestic car. Seriously, OPEC needs to increase production JUST for this. Have oil on hand and be ready to put more in every time you use it. It's a small price to pay though. I am able to chew through 100 square feet of soil 6 inches deep in just a half hour or so now.

Does the job!

I had to break up a large cement patio. It took time but it did the job without a problem.

Solid, lots of bang for your buck.

Heavy duty so it's heavy. Gets the job done fast. Lots of bang for your buck.

Do not rent, buy this.

We had a concrete step that had been poured in place in the 70s. Couldn't get a tractor to it, smacked it with a sledge and then looked to rent a jack hammer. Locally it was $89 per day to rent and I figured if this lasted through the job it would be worth having. It took us two hours to make the step into gravel. I watched a YouTube video on it, but didn't really need to. It was easy to set up and it works. Had no issues beating through the step and now it is gone. It did get hot after about 30 minutes of continuous use, but you are ready for a break after 30 minutes anyway. It is a young man's tool, so I let the young guy have fun with it. It will wear you out just because it is a bit heavy to keep picking up and down. It will rattle you a bit, but what do you expect it is a jackhammer. I love this thing and can't wait for the next project that needs one. I got the shovel bit with it and used that to dig down around some 4x4s buried in concrete. It hammers into hard ground with ease. It came with the three bits, and some accessories like gloves and eye protection. Those were cheap, but I have my own anyway. Reading online it says to use 40w oil in it, I had 30w so that is what I uses without any issues. The next time I'm buying oil, I'll get some 40w. Friends make fun of me for always buying tools, but then they ask to borrow them so we will see who will want this! It is a beast and I highly recommend it, even for the homeowner. If you need it once, just buy it. You will need it again at some point!
