Our RV did not come with a fireplace but this is perfect. It heats our RV perfect on low (33.8 foot) if really cold we will turn it on high for a short time when winter camping. We place a soda under it so it tilts back slightly as my husband doesn't want the glue under the vinyl floor to get hot. Its perfect In our home bedroom and in our RV.
I spent way to long reading reviews and looking at dimensions to try and find something that works for the awkward area the original owners of our home bricked in the fireplace.I finally took a chance and ordered this. It fits almost perfectly and I think the flames look beautiful. It definitely isn't meant to heat an entire room but it's perfect for additional heat or to curl up next to and read a good book.There is no remote but that doesn't matter for us because we plugged it into a smart plug and leave the flame switch on and the plug does the work.All in all I'm pretty happy

I love that the heat comes out the bottom. It has two settings low & high. When its on high our whole bottom floor is heated. Approximately 200 sq ft. We have not used our central heat. Just this but we also live in Oregon which isn't as cold as some places. The flame is cozy. Great value!
