Fantastic portable stove that produces commercial kitchen levels of heat.

I am a foodie, and bought this stove so that I could cook meals for friends and family anywhere that doesn't have a "real" stove. That means burners with at least 15K BTU. This stove is rated at 17K BTU and I fully believe that is a real number. It comes with a nice long hose, and I bought an adapter to run it off small, green Coleman propane canisters. The heat generated was enough to use a carbon steel, 14" sauté pan to finish meats, and pasta. The pasta can be a challenge as the cold sauces can suck heat out of a pan and really slow you down when making multiple servings for a larger group. This stove made cooking without a stove a pleasure. It doesn't feel super durable, but it is heavy enough to trust it staying put while moving pans around. The overall weight is just right for portability vs. usability, and performance is outstanding! One thing other reviewers might not understand is the lighting mechanism. When you light the stove it has a "dump valve" type of starter. I have had BBQ grills with this same start mechanism, so I was familiar with it, but if you don't know what you are working with, it can freak you out into thinking it's leaking. In operation, pushing the adjustment knob in when you turn on the burner fires a spray of gas that carries the ignition spark to the main burner. Once it's lit, just let go of the knob and it closes that start valve. The stove works perfectly at that point.I have only used it once so far, but that experience was fantastic. I highly recommend this stove.
