Initially, this pump performed admirably, but after a week, the motor became noticeably louder. It's not attributed to vibrations, and we can't determine the cause of the increased noise. We're disappointed with this development, as it was quieter when first hooked up. Despite the noise issue, the pump is still functioning well, and we have no choice but to continue using it for now.

"I had to replace a pump and didn't have the budget for a Hayward, so I conducted some research and came across this alternative. Initially, I was skeptical because of its low price, and now it's even more affordable! Although the installation went smoothly, we encountered issues with the wiring configuration. The markings on the pump didn't align with the required wiring diagram, leading us to connect it incorrectly initially. The pump would start but quit after about 45 seconds, unable to restart. After further online research, we adjusted the wiring. Another challenge arose as, despite being self-priming, it required manual priming. I ran water in the pump strainer for about 5 minutes to ensure all pipes were filled. Following this, it started up smoothly and has been running without any problems. I released excess air accumulated during our attempts, and the pump has been operating quietly and efficiently. I'm delighted with this purchase and would highly recommend it to anyone in need of a pool pump."
