I appreciate the performance of the product since its installation in July. However, I encountered an issue when the pool professional left the owner's guide on the ground, and it became soaked, causing the pages to stick together. Consequently, I couldn't register my product. Although I found the customer service number on the front page, my attempt to call resulted in a voice recording, and the call was abruptly disconnected. Unfortunately, I am unable to read the manual to learn how to maintain the pump. I hope this feedback reaches the company so they can enhance accessibility for their customers.

Quiet and pleasant. The variable speed is not as powerful as expected for a 1.5 HP; my previous 1.0 HP had a higher RPM at 3800 with variable speed from Pentair. Curious to see how many years this one will last.

After my original pool pump stopped working, I suspected a clogged drain. I tested the skimmer and it was okay. I then blew out the main drain and I’m not sure if it was clogged or not. After clearing the drain, I did some research and came across a review that mentioned how clean the pool looked after using a certain pump. I had never been happy with how clean my pool was and used a lot of chlorine. I decided to purchase the pump, replumbed it to install, set up the program, and voila! The pool is cleaner than ever before (was it the drain or the pump?), runs noticeably quieter, runs at less RPMs, and did I mention my electric bill dropped by $40.00? I’m glad I made the purchase. It appears to be the same as a Pentair Whisper Flo but a whole lot cheaper. It will pay for itself. I’m very satisfied and would recommend it. Also, it qualified for an energy rebate.

I am utilizing this pump for an in-ground pool. The recommended pump size is 1.5 hp. The pump includes glue-on PVC fittings for both 1.5" and 2" PVC, and I am using 1.5" PVC. It features a large basket that requires minimal maintenance. The top of the reservoir is easily removable for straightforward cleaning of debris.

The control panel is user-friendly, offering various programmable settings with four scheduled modes. While the default program suits most applications, it can be adjusted for specific needs. In winter, where freezing occurs at night, it's advisable to modify the start time to run the pump during colder periods. The pump can also be set to operate 24 hours, primarily on a low-speed setting to prevent freezing, with occasional higher-speed intervals to maintain the pool or run a cleaner as needed.

Each of the four scheduled modes allows for manual operation, and there's a quick-clean mode for specific applications requiring the programmed speed and duration. Pump speed and duration are programmable in these five different modes.

In case of a power outage, the pump will resume its automatic schedule when power is restored. The clock retains the time for about 24 hours during a power loss, and the programmed schedule should be saved for several days without power. If the clock loses time, the pump will still run based on the programmed schedule, although the time will be off. If the programmed schedule is lost, the pump will revert to the default schedule.

The pump operates relatively quietly, depending on the programmed speed. The initial schedule is set to a higher speed to prime the pump, and I haven't encountered any issues with priming in the three weeks I've had it. However, I cannot comment on its longevity yet.
