Instructions and literature seem a little vague,especially for self sharpening procedure.

MUCH BETTER THAN THE CHEAP ONES THAT DONT LAST!

After purchasing and disposing of the $79.99 cheap one, I got this one, and wow, what a difference! It's solidly built, the thickness setting stays where you put it, the guide plate doesn't flex, and it's as easy to clean as one of these can be.

Cutting meats requires minimal effort ‚Äì it almost does it on its own. We love this.
