I hesitated for years to purchase a dedicated spot welder since I already have five welders covering all welding processes. However, this spot welder significantly speeds up sheet welding jobs. While it may not reach some areas, it works effectively where it can. It easily handles two sheets of 16-gauge. Caution is needed not to hold the power too long, as it can burn through. I'll observe its durability over time, and opting for the extended warranty seems wise since I don't use it every day.

Gets the job done, but I regret not choosing a 220 one.

The electrodes are expensive, but well, you know.

I wish the cord was longer and had a better gauge. All my equipment is configured for 30/50 amps, and this cord is so small that I had to increase the diameter for strain relief on the plug.

I am quite satisfied with this welder. I achieved good results while replacing a firewall on an old C10. The clamping pressure it offers is something I particularly appreciate. Ensure that all four surfaces are clean (both the front and back of both pieces of sheet metal). Adjusting the alignment on the tops is easy, and it's worth considering the position of the tips when clamping (not fully closed due to the sheet metal being welded). Additionally, be aware that you'll need to purchase a plug and wire it for this welder.
